This article will explain how to calibrate the AUTOMATiQ, using the integrated Specialized system.
When to conduct a calibration
Calibrating the automatic shifting interface is always needed after one of the following:
- After the initial assembly of the e-bike.
- When the automatic shifting hub interface (e.g. AUTOMATiQ) was removed for maintenance reasons.
- When the system does not work properly.

Calibration instructions
- Turn on the e-bike system
- When you have a brand new hub interface, the system will automatically detect it requires calibration, it will show "enviolo calibration needed" in the display. Then click the "+" button to start the calibration.
- To re-calibrate the bike: press and hold the "+" and "-" button until the display shows "Settings", scroll down to "enviolo cal", and press the "F1" button to start the calibration.
- Pedal the bike above 30RPM. This can take up to 25 seconds until you see "calibration OK!" appear on display. The display will automatically return to the setting screen.
- Change the cadence by pressing the F2 button till the display shows "preferred pedal pace"
- Press plus and minus buttons to change the RPM setting accordingly
- Press the F2 button again to return to the "ride" screen.
