Symptom Perception Repair process Note
Display is blinking 2 bars are running up and down the display Please start the calibration. If you are unsure how the calibration works, please see below  
Calibration does not start When the calibration is started nothing happens Make sure you follow the correct procedure Please follow these 3 button, Grip shifter, Integrated for video instruction.
  The controller button seems to not work Contact the enviolo service center for further diagnostics  
  The calibration starts, but the CVP does not shift Please make sure the interface is properly placed on the axle and the hub encoder mounted properly on the hub flange.  
  The CVP seems to be stuck See CVP errors  
  The system does not shift between modes The controller button might be defect, please contact the enviolo service center for further diagnostics  
Water in display There is some condensed water in the display Moisture is possible in extreme weather conditions and big temperature changes during wintertime. Please however also ensure there are no cracks in the display. If the damp persists after a warmer period please contact the enviolo service center  
Display is not fully lit Display is black or only partially lit Test with known working interface. If this solves the problem please replace the interface otherwise please replace the controller  
Failure during firmware update Message: “Unable to find device” on latest generation interface Update to latest FW 4.0.5 with eBike system connected and turned on  
  Message: “Unable to find device” or “Firmware failed to load” Check all hardware components incl. cable and reinstall the desktop software. Remove old desktop version before installation  
  Bad USB connection Connect the USB directly to a computer without using an USB multiplug or extension  
Shift delay Under high loads/torques the CVP cannot shift The shift motor power is limited and won’t shift under very high torques/loads  
Undesired cadence changes while riding Without any input the cadence control seems to change On 1.generation systems please ensure the sprocket and interface and encoder are clean to prevent interferences  
    On all systems ensure the firmware settings are correct. Use enviolo desktop software for set up  
  Systems frequently asks for calibration Contact the enviolo service center for further diagnostics  
Undesired cadence changes while riding Without any input the cadence control seems to change Perform the sensor functionality check Please follow this link for video instruction
    Are the input and output speed sensors correctly installed Please follow this link for instruction
Interface rotates around the CVP axle The interface seems to move Please check the spline nut and tighten it if necessary Please follow this link for instruction
Rattling noises There is sound coming from the interface Contact the enviolo service center for further diagnostics
