Symptom Perception Repair process Note
Leaking Small film of oil on delivery This is likely leftover fluid from the assembly process. Wipe it clean and monitor for future leaks Fluid can only come from left side or freewheel location
  Leaks from hub cover location or continued leaking from freewheel or left side Contact the enviolo service center for further diagnostics  
Grumbly/ grinding ride feel Sensation can be felt through pedals, sandpaper „buzy“ ride feel. Contact the enviolo service center for further diagnostics  
Plastic click sound Click sounds can be heard once per wheel rotation Check if the rim brake adapter cover is fitted correctly. Press the cover into place, if error persists replace the cover Please follow this link for video instruction
Rattling noise Noise only occurs while coasting in lightest gear This is expected product behaviour - no reason for replacement  
Knocking sound Can be audible and felt through pedals in specific ratios Contact the enviolo service center for further diagnostics  
Noise from beltdrive cog Clicking sound from rear belt cog can be perceived Check the Gates sprocket type. It must be the enviolo specific sure-fit version. If not replace the belt cog. If it is the correct belt cog check for play on the freewheel (Gates & CONTI) and if necessary replace the freewheel Please follow this link for video instruction
Noisy sprocket Noise can be perceived from the sprocket Check the assembly and ensure that the correct components (3/32“chain, sprocket and spacer) are used. If everything is correct, replace the sprocket. It might have been caused by manufacturing defect or wear  
    If the noise persists, please clean the freewheel and if noise persists replace the freewheel. It might have been caused by manufacturing defect or wear Please follow this link for video instruction
Slipping/Jumping It feels like the CVP is slipping Make sure that the correct chain tension is set and also that the components don’t show any signs of wear  
  It feels like the CVP is slipping and then engages again Check the freewheel pawls and clean the freewheel assembly and reinstall it using a medium weight oil. In case the pawls are damaged replace the freewheel assembly Please follow this link for video instruction
    If all other options have been ruled out, check the proper CVP functionality. Contact the enviolo service center for further diagnostics  
Hub drag It feels like there is resistance from the CVP It could be sealed bearings at the start of the lifetime. The break-in period is ~100 km.  
    Please ensure that the chain tension is set properly  
  Difficult to pedal Contact the enviolo service center for further diagnostics  
Blocking shift system The CVP seems to be locked up at either full overdrive or full underdrive Unlock the shift system. Please follow this link for video instruction
  The CVP seems to be locked in mid range or the ratio range seems to be limited Contact the enviolo service center for further diagnostics  
CVP “ghost shifts” towards full underdrive It seems like the controller is moving without active controls Ensure the cable tension is set properly. If the problem persist please contact the enviolo service center
