This article will explain how to download, pair, and start using the Enviolo Automatic (Enviolo AutomatiQ) app. You will need to pair an Enviolo Automatic interface to the app when pairing an interface for the first time.
Step-by-step instructions
Pairing the app
Tools
- A smartphone with the Enviolo Automatic (AutomatiQ) app installed:
- Android 8 or higher - Download from Google Play Store
- iOS 13 or higher - Download from Apple App Store
Instructions
- Download and install the app on your Android or iOS device.
- Activate Bluetooth on your phone.
- Open the Enviolo Automatic app on your phone or tablet and wait until it loads.
- After loading, the Enviolo app will display the Devices List panel.
- On this panel, the app will start looking for available devices. Available Enviolo Automatic interface (AHI) devices will be listed with serial numbers, and by order of proximity.
- The serial number of the Enviolo Automatic interface on your bike can be found underneath it.
- Turn on the e-bike drive system.
- Push and hold the pairing button on the Enviolo Automatic interface for 3 seconds (A), until the button LED blinks blue.
- While the LED is blinking blue, the AHI will show on the Device List.
- On the Devices List panel, tap on your Enviolo Automatic interface. Your AHI will now pair.
- Your Enviolo Automatic interface remembers up to 5 smartphones. You will need to repeat the pairing process if you go beyond this limit.
- After pairing, you will arrive at the Settings panel, which has an overview of several options to configure your Enviolo Automatic interface or app.

Functions
These are the different things you can do in the Enviolo Automatic app. All settings are saved in real-time:
Main settings screen
-
Operation mode - change between fully AUTO or MANUAL shifting.
- AUTO mode is always the recommended mode.
- MANUAL mode is only useful if you have a CLiQ controller or integrated system that allows you to change cadence manually (the Enviolo Automatic will emulate a 9-speed hub).
- Start After Stop - change the starting cadence e.g. after stopping at a red light.
- Update firmware - update your Enviolo Automatic hub interface to the latest firmware.
- Scan QR - Configure your bike with factory configurations for your bike mode.
-
Calibrate - Enviolo Automatic needs to be calibrated for full overdrive and best experience:
- Auto calibrate (Update Firmware) - latest firmware has passive calibration (R48/V10 or newer).
- Manual calibrate (Calibrate AutomatiQ) - manual calibrate for older firmwares (R47/V9 or older).
