This article contains an overview of the known Bosch error codes, these will show up on the display.
Early indications
All error codes starting with a 5 -> 5** are Bosch errors. And all errors starting with a 7 -> 7** are enviolo errors, except errors 595/596, which could be caused by both systems.
Error codes

Error type: Software version.
Issue: The system software is not up to date.
Solution: Update the system firmware to the latest version.

Error type: Transmission authentication error.
Issue: The transmission could not be identified correctly. Motor support is off or delayed in the start-up phase. Walk-assist or drive mode are not available, no gear shift.
Solution: Only use original components. Switch off the e-bike, remove the battery, replace the battery and restart the e-bike.

Error type: Nyon error.
Issue: The Nyon software does not support the eShift function.
Solution: Perform a firmware update.

Error type: Configuration error.
Issue: The e-bike is not intended for eShift due to an incorrect hardware container. No motor support and no gear shift possible.
Solution: Turn the system off and then on again. If the problem persists, contact the e-bike manufacturer.

Error type: CAN communication error.
Issue: No transmission communication, no eShift indicator.
Solution: Turn the system off and then on again. Check cables and connectors. Ensure the CAN protocol is set to Bosch in the enviolo desktop tool. Use the manufacturer's diagnostic tool to perform a system diagnostic. Replace the transmission system electronics.

Error type: Lost CAN communication.
Issue: No transmission communication, no eShift indicator.

Error type: Internal error.
Issue: Cadence control and shifting are not possible.
Solution: Contact enviolo support for further diagnostics.

Error type: Configuration error.
Issue: There is limited functionality for the cadence control. Manual shifting is possible.
Solution: Adjust/correct the configuration via the enviolo desktop tool.

Error type: Calibration timeout.
Issue: The AUTOMATiQ interface attempted to calibrate, but it was not pedaled.
Solution: Use the enviolo desktop tool for diagnostics if required to remove any unsupported components.

Error type: Calibration range.
Issue: The Calibration was completed and identified that the whole ratio range isn´t available.
Solution: Rerun the calibration and if necessary use a working interface as double-check.

Error type: Input speed sensor failure.
Issue: There is limited functionality of the cadence control. Manual shifting possible.
Solution: Turn the system off and then on again. Check the proper fit of the input speed ring and ensure 12 magnets are available. If the problem persists, please contact enviolo support.

Error type: Output speed sensor failure.
Issue: Limited functionality of the cadence control.
Solution: Turn the system off and then on again. Check the proper fit of the output speed ring and ensure 6 magnets are available. If the problem persists please contact enviolo support.

Error type: Motor failure.
Issue: Cadence control and manual shifting are not possible. The gear system is locked in an undefined gear.
Solution: Turn the system off and then on again. If the problem persists please contact enviolo support for further diagnostics.
