Problem diagnosis
- The manual hub interface (MHI) rotates, but no shifting takes place.
- The hub interface slips or spins.
Solution
- Check if the MHI is compatible with the hub.
- Check if the spline nut is correctly assembled.
1 - Check if the MHI interface is compatible with the bub
Your manual hub interface (MHI) should be compatible with the hub on your bicycle. If not, you will need to replace it with a compatible one which you can order at our orders platform.
There are different Manual hub interfaces (MHI) depending on the amount of teeth on the spline (A). Their compatibility with enviolo CVPs - hubs and gearbox - depends on the release date of the CVP. See the overview below:
MY2025

- All hubs and gearbox - from 2025, all CVPs are commonized with 40T.

44T
- Not applicable - from 2025, no CVP will be produced with 44T.
MY2024 and earlier

- Specific 135mm solid axle CVPs - Heavy Duty, Extreme, Extreme Gearbox, CA.
- All 148mm modular axle CVPs.

- Specific 135mm solid axle CVP hubs - Urban, City, Trekking, CO, SP, CA.
2 - Check if the spline nut is correctly assembled
