The 148mm modular axle hubs, such as the Extreme and Heavy Duty, have a slightly different disk brake mounting procedure than their 135mm variants.

This guide will help you mount the disk brake properly on 148mm modular hubs.

• 6-bolt disk rotor
• Disk brake spacer
• Flat screwdriver
• 148mm mounting kit

Disk assembly instructions

1. Place the disk brake spacer (9) on the hub, following the instructions of the supplier.
2. Place the brake disk rotor over the spacer.
3. Tighten using the longer M5*16 bolts (10) supplied in the 148mm mounting kit.
4. Place the torque adapter on the axle.
   • Orientate it at an angle that it slides into place.
5. Secure it with the snap ring.
   • Use the help of a small flat screwdriver.

Your disk brake is ready

If you successfully followed the steps above, then the brake disk rotor is installed on your 148mm hub.
