This article will explain how to properly assemble an Enviolo manual Twist shifter on a bicycle handlebar. This works with all Enviolo Twist shifters, regardless if they have a display or not.

Step-by-step instructions

Keep some space between the shifter and rubber grip

Make sure that the controller rotates easily. The controller should not be tightly mounted against the grip. Leave a bit of space between the controller and the handlebar grip.

Assembly instructions

1. Install the right brake lever according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Slide the shifter onto the handlebar.
   
3. Install the right hand grip onto the handlebar according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
   
4. Position the shifter such that the display is visible to the rider and the cable will be unobstructed.
5. Barrel adjusters can be used for optimization of cable slack (0.5-1mm).
6. Tighten the clamp bolt to 2.0-2.5 Nm with the Allen key.

Do not ride without a handlebar grip

Never ride without the handlebar grip. The rubber part of the shifter could become loose, which could result in a severe injury.
