If a configuration is missing, the Enviolo Automatic (AutomatiQ) interface will not shift. The Enviolo Automatic needs to be configured in order for calibration to work, for without calibration, the Enviolo Automatic interface will not shift.

The Enviolo Automatic interfaces with firmware version from V10/R48 are automatically calibrated in the background, passively, while pedalling.

Problem diagnosis

There are 3 known situations when this issue happens:

1. New bike with unconfigured Enviolo Automatic
   The bike is brand new and calibration is not possible, the interface keeps flashing red and green and the bike doesn’t shift at all or not correctly.
2. New interface after rebuilding eBike to Enviolo Automatic
   The bike was previously equipped with an MHI or older automatic system, and it’s not possible to make use of the “configuration look up” functionality in the app.
3. Replacement interface where the Enviolo Automatic already existed
   The bike receives a new interface due to the replacement of a faulty one. The new interface comes without a configuration.

Step-by-step solution

Use the QR generate tool

QR configuration codes are universal per bike model. Any bike with the same specifications can use the same QR code for the configuration of the Automatic. Using our generate QR tool is the easiest way to find and download a configuration.

A - New bike with unconfigured AHI

1. See if the QR code for the bike is listed in our generate QR code tool.
   • If not, please get in contact with the bike brand to provide you with the official QR Code;
   • If they can't provide you a QR code, reach out to Enviolo Support.
2. Then, please scan the QR Code with the Enviolo app. Follow this guide for detailed instructions.

B - New interface installed after rebuilding to Enviolo Automatic

1. See if the QR code for the bike is listed in our generate QR code tool.
   • If not, reach out to Enviolo Support.
2. Once you have the QR code, please scan the QR Code with the enviolo smartphone application. Follow this guide for detailed instructions.

C - Replacement interface where the Enviolo Automatic was already equipped

1. Use configuration lookup in the app and enter the serial number of the old Enviolo Automatic interface.
2. Click “flash” to transfer the configuration to the new interface.

If the above doesn’t work (which could be due to an unconfigured old AHI or unknown serial number):

   • If not, reach out to Enviolo Support.
