This guide explains how to disassemble the Manual hub interface (MHI) from a wheel with a 135mm solid axle hub.

This guide is compatible with legacy enviolo and NuVinci 135mm solid axle hubs.

Step-by-step instructions

Tools

• Small flat screwdriver
• Torque wrench and a 17mm long socket
• Vice

Disassembly instructions

1. While installed on the bicycle, shift the hub into overdrive (H) as far as possible.
2. Remove the rear wheel from the bike.
3. Mount the wheel on a vice, clamping on the left-hand axle flats.
   
4. Remove the 17mm nut (A) that secures the interface.
5. Remove the manual hub interface (B).
   • Lift carefully from underneath using a small flat screwdriver.
