This guide explains how to disassemble a rear wheel with a Manual hub interface and solid axle hub out from a 135mm bike frame.
Backward compatibility
This guide is compatible with legacy enviolo and NuVinci 135mm solid axle hubs.
Step-by-step instructions
Tools
- 15mm wrench
- Torque wrench
- 15mm long socket
- 17mm long socket (only for Extreme hub)
Assembly instructions
- Remove the axle nuts (B) from the wheel. Put the nuts in a place where they don’t get lost.
- Remove the non-turn washers (A) from both sides of the axle end.
- Put the washers in a place where they don’t get lost.
- Disconnect the shift cables from the manual interface.
- If there’s a lot of tension on the cables and therefore hard to disconnect them cables, please give the cables more play by turning the cable adjusters in (clockwise) on the controller.
- If the nuts, washers, and cables are removed and disconnected, you can now take the wheel from the dropout, make sure to take the chain or belt from the chain ring as well.
