Why calibrate
Keeping your Enviolo Automatic calibrated ensures smooth, efficient shifting by matching gear changes to your pedaling effort. Without calibration, shifting may be poorly timed, causing wear, lower performance, and a less enjoyable ride. Proper calibration aligns gears with your cadence and power, letting you focus on riding while the system handles shifting.
Calibration options
There are two ways:
- Auto calibration – recommended
- Manual calibration – older firmware (R47/V9 and older)
Automatic
Enviolo Automatic auto calibration
Auto calibration is the best way to calibrate the Enviolo Automatic – available since firmware version R48 and V10. To update your firmware, see: How to update the Enviolo Automatic with the latest firmware version
Auto calibration keeps the system optimized
If your system is up to date – latest app and firmware – the Enviolo Automatic will passively calibrate while riding. It is the best way to keep your system optimised.
Manual
Enviolo Automatic manual calibration
Manual calibration of the Enviolo Automatic is only required when using older firmware versions (pre-firmware R48 and V10) and after one of the following:
- After the initial assembly of the e-bike.
- When the automatic hub interface was removed for maintenance reasons.
- When the system does not work properly.
