If your Gates beltdrive CDX sprocket seems to be making noise, see below what to do.

Backward compatibility

This guide is compatible with legacy 135mm solid axle hubs (Commercial/CO, Sportive/SP, Cargo/CA, N360, N380, N380SE).

Problem

Upon inspection, you detect a clicking sound coming from the Gates rear belt cog.

Solution

Check if the Gates sprocket is compatible with enviolo. Gates has 22T, 26T, and 28T sprockets that are specifically designed for enviolo hubs.

If the belt cog is not designed for Enviolo

1. Remove it and assemble a compatible enviolo sure-fit sprocket:
   • Compatible sprockets, chainlines, and beltlines for enviolo hubs
   • How to assemble the sprocket on a hub

If the belt cog is designed for Enviolo

1. Check for play on the freewheel (Gates & CONTI).
2. If necessary, replace the freewheel:
   • How to replace or clean the freewheel on a hub
3. If the problem persists, contact support.

There should be no more noise coming from the beltdrive cog.
